These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the ART Walkway website, newsletters, membership services, and any other products, services, or features we offer (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing or using our Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.

1. General Use of the Site and Content

1.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use our website and subscribe to our free newsletters, and at least 18 years old (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction) to purchase a paid subscription.

1.2 Non-Commercial Use

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all content on ART Walkway is for personal, non-commercial use only.

1.3 Intellectual Property

All content (text, graphics, photographs, videos, templates, and design elements) is owned by ART Walkway or its licensors and protected under Finnish and international copyright laws.

1.4 Prohibited Use

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, scrape, or create derivative works from our content without prior written permission. You may not misuse the Services or violate applicable laws.

2. Membership (Free) & Access

2.1 Account & Eligibility

To access member features (newsletter, members-only posts, exclusive content and tips), you must provide a valid email address and, where applicable, verify your email. You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your account details and restricting access to your email inbox.

2.2 Nature of the Service (No Fees)

Membership is currently free. We do not charge subscription fees for access to member content. If we later introduce paid plans, we will provide clear terms and obtain your agreement before any charges apply.

2.3 Term, Suspension & Termination

Membership begins once your email is verified and continues until you cancel. You may cancel anytime via Account → Preferences (/#/portal/account).
We may suspend or terminate membership if:
(a) your email repeatedly bounces or becomes undeliverable;
(b) you unsubscribe from all essential member communications needed to operate the Service; or
(c) you materially breach these Terms.

2.4 Member Conduct

You may not:

share login or verification links;
resell, scrape, or redistribute members-only content;
use the Services in a manner that violates law, infringes rights, or interferes with others’ use.

2.5 Service Changes

We may update, modify, or remove content or features (including members-only categories) at any time. Where changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice via member communications.3.6 Submissions & License (Optional Materials)

If you voluntarily submit text, images, or links for possible inclusion (e.g., quotes, spotlights), you confirm you have the rights to share them and grant ART Walkway a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to edit, reproduce, distribute, and display them in our publications (email/web) and to promote those publications. You may request we cease future uses; archival copies may persist where already published.

3. Email & Member Communications

3.1 Enrollment & Verification

By joining the free membership, you consent to receive emails necessary to operate the Service, including verification, account notices, and the member newsletter. We use double opt-in where applicable.

3.2 What You’ll Receive as a Member

Member Newsletter (included; core to the Service)
Members-only posts and exclusive content/tips
Updates about features, events, and opportunities relevant to membership
Cadence and categories may change over time.

3.3 Managing Preferences & Unsubscribing = Membership Ends

You can manage preferences or cancel membership at Account → Preferences or via links in our emails.
Because the Service is email-native, if you unsubscribe from the member newsletter or use a global unsubscribe that prevents us from sending member communications, your membership will end. (You may re-join at any time by signing up again.)

3.4 Deliverability Requirement

Membership requires a valid, deliverable email. If we cannot reach you (e.g., persistent bounces, domain blocks, or you unsubscribe from all member communications), we may suspend or end membership because we cannot deliver the Service.

3.5 Gallery Network Emails (If Applicable) — Unsubscribing Ends Membership

By joining the Gallery Network, you consent to receive Network-related emails from us. We use double opt-in. You can unsubscribe at any time; however, because the Network is operated via email, unsubscribing from Gallery Network emails ends your membership in the Network (and, if your free membership is tied to Network participation, your membership may end as well). You can manage all preferences in Account → Preferences.

What you may receive (with consent):

Early quote prompts from editors (you can reply with a short statement; selection/publication is at our editorial discretion and not guaranteed).
Occasional inclusion in features, spotlights, or “What to See” mentions (editorial discretion; no guarantee of coverage).
Signals memo (brief notes with 2–3 takeaways and select deadlines).
Notices about paid placements (availability, pricing, specs, deadlines; paid placements are always labeled).
Call-for-submissions (themed roundups, fair guides, open studios, new shows, catalog drops).
Event invitations & reminders (talks, previews, private views, online sessions).
Opportunities & timelines (editorial calendars, seasonal windows, occasional priority pitches).
Surveys & research requests (short polls to inform coverage; aggregated/anonymized where stated).
Product or feature updates (changes to the member experience, tools, beta features).
Policy & terms notices (material changes to Terms, Privacy, or email preferences).

Cadence, categories, and formats may change over time. Gallery Network participation does not create a public directory listing or profile unless we explicitly offer that feature and you opt in.

3.7 Data, Metrics & Tracking

We store the data you provide and limited engagement metrics (e.g., opens/clicks) to operate and improve the Service. We do not sell your data. Our site and emails may use tracking pixels, UTM parameters, cookies, and a consent management platform. See our Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy for details and controls.

4. Supported Features, Sponsored Content & Collaborations

4.1 Supported Features (Paid Placements)

We may offer clearly labeled Supported Features (paid placements) by request. Each unit is marked “Supported Feature” and is distinct from independent editorial. Availability is limited; pricing, deliverables, and scheduling are set in a separate insertion order or agreement and governed by our Payment Policy. Purchasing a Supported Feature does not influence independent editorial decisions.

4.2 Sponsored Articles & Collaborations

From time to time, we may publish sponsored content. Sponsored content will be clearly marked. Specific terms and fees are governed by separate agreements and our Payment Policy.

4.3 Editorial Integrity

We maintain editorial independence and do not accept sponsorships that conflict with our journalistic standards.

5. Disclaimers

All information, strategies, and resources are for educational and informational purposes only.

6. Limitation of Liability

We may suspend or terminate your account or access to the Services if you violate these Terms.

8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Helsinki.

9. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect upon posting to our website. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
