These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the ART Walkway website and any related communications we operate, including newsletters and account functions (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.

1. General Use of the Services

1.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account or subscribe to our newsletters.

1.2 Permitted Use

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the Services and content are provided for personal, informational use. Use must comply with applicable law and must not interfere with the operation, security, or integrity of the Services.

1.3 Intellectual Property

All content published by ART Walkway—including text, editorial structure, design elements, graphics, and selected media—is owned by ART Walkway or used under license, and is protected by Finnish and international intellectual property laws.

1.4 Prohibited Use

You may not, without prior written permission:

copy, reproduce, publish, distribute, or sell our content beyond lawful quotation or sharing of links;
scrape, crawl, harvest, or systematically extract content or data;
remove watermarks, credits, or rights notices;
create derivative works that replicate our editorial content or compilation;
attempt to access non-public areas, accounts, or systems;
introduce malware, abuse rate limits, or disrupt site operations.

We may restrict or block access where misuse is detected or reasonably suspected.

2. Accounts and Access

2.1 Accounts

Some features may require an account (for example, managing preferences or accessing account settings). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any access links, credentials, or devices used to access your account.

2.2 Account Integrity

You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it reasonably up to date. We may suspend or disable accounts where information is fraudulent, where access attempts indicate abuse, or where security requires protective action.

2.3 No Subscriptions or Paid Membership

ART Walkway does not operate subscription plans or paid memberships. If account features exist, they are provided for identity, preference management, and service integrity—not as paid access tiers.

3. Newsletters and Communications

If you subscribe to an ART Walkway newsletter, you consent to receive the selected emails. You may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link included in emails or through account preferences where available.

3.2 Operational Messages

If you create an account or request specific services (such as passwordless login links), we may send operational messages necessary to provide and secure those functions.

3.3 Deliverability

If messages consistently bounce, are blocked, or cannot be delivered, we may be unable to provide newsletter delivery or account messages.

4. Submissions, Tips, and User-Provided Materials

4.1 Voluntary Submissions

If you voluntarily submit information, text, images, documents, or links (including tips, corrections, or rights claims), you represent that you have the right to submit the material.

4.2 Limited License for Publication

Where your submission is accepted for publication or quotation, you grant ART Walkway a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to edit, reproduce, and display the material only as necessary for editorial use within our Services and archival record.

We do not publish promotional content on request, and submission does not guarantee publication.

4.3 Confidentiality

Where confidentiality is requested and granted, we protect source identity within applicable law and ethical standards. Confidentiality cannot be guaranteed where disclosure is legally compelled.

5. Editorial Independence and Commercial Content

ART Walkway does not publish paid placements, advertorials, sponsored editorials, or promotional content. Editorial outcomes are not negotiated and cannot be purchased.

Patronage, where offered, is aligned support for independent publishing and archival continuity and does not confer influence over editorial decisions.

6. Data, Cookies, and Tracking

We process limited data necessary to operate the Services, including account and newsletter delivery information and basic performance metrics (for example, opens and clicks) where enabled. We do not sell personal data.

7. Disclaimers

Content is provided for informational and editorial purposes. ART Walkway does not provide legal, financial, or medical advice. The Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Finnish law, ART Walkway shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Services.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the minimum extent permitted by applicable law.

9. Termination and Enforcement

9.1 Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the Services if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in misuse, or compromised the security or integrity of the Services.

9.2 Rights Enforcement

Unauthorized use of ART Walkway content may result in removal requests, access restrictions, and, where appropriate, legal action. ART Walkway reserves all rights and remedies available under applicable law.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Helsinki, Finland.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect upon posting. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
