ART Walkway processes personal data only where necessary to operate the site, deliver requested communications, manage subscriptions, respond to correspondence, maintain security, understand site performance, comply with legal obligations and protect the editorial and archival record.

We do not sell personal data.

Newsletter subscription and account functions are currently free. They are used for newsletter delivery, subscriber access, preference management, email access links, support and service administration.

When ART Walkway sends newsletters or other email communications, we may receive limited delivery and engagement information, such as:

  • whether an email was opened;

ART Walkway uses email open and click information only to understand delivery, newsletter performance and reader engagement in general terms. We do not use it to build individual marketing profiles or sell personal data.

5. Contact forms and correspondence

If you contact ART Walkway by email or through a form, we may collect the information you choose to provide, including:

  • name, if provided;
  • email address;
  • organisation or role, if provided;

6. Email communications management

ART Walkway may use communication-management tools to organise correspondence, manage replies and maintain records of editorial, rights, support, patronage or institutional communication.

These tools are used for correspondence management, not marketing automation.

ART Walkway may accept patronage or sustaining support.

Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. ART Walkway does not store full payment card details.

Depending on the payment method and provider, ART Walkway may receive:

  • transaction identifiers;
  • receipt, invoice or support details;
  • patronage-related correspondence.

Payment and patronage information is used to process support, provide receipts, respond to payment questions, maintain accounting records, and comply with legal obligations.

You may withdraw consent from newsletters by using the unsubscribe link in emails or by managing your subscription preferences where available.

You may withdraw or change cookie consent through the cookie settings or consent tool where available.

Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.

If you unsubscribe from newsletters, you will stop receiving the selected newsletter communications. Operational emails may still be sent where necessary for account access, security, support, deletion requests, receipts or legal purposes.

21. Account deletion

Members may delete their own account through the subscription or account area where that function is available.

Account deletion may remove or disable your subscription/member profile, related account access and newsletter subscription settings.

If you cannot access your account, or if deletion is not available through the account area, you may contact ART Walkway for support.

Some information may still be retained where necessary for legal obligations, security, rights enforcement, editorial accountability, archival integrity, dispute resolution, accounting or other lawful purposes.

22. Security

ART Walkway uses reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, misuse, loss, alteration or disclosure.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

23. Children

ART Walkway is not directed to children.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account or subscribe to ART Walkway communications.

ART Walkway may link to external websites, institutions, galleries, artists, publications, archives, payment services or other third-party resources.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, security or policies of third-party websites or services. Review their policies before providing personal data.
