The Munich public prosecutor’s office has launched an investigation into **Galerie Thomas**, the renowned blue-chip gallery, over allegations of delaying insolvency proceedings, fraud, and breach of trust. The gallery, a cornerstone of German art dealing since 1964, filed for bankruptcy in **July 2024**, raising serious concerns among consignors and creditors.

Consignors have reportedly demanded the return of unsold artworks and proceeds from previous sales. Owner **Raimund Thomas** and his daughter **Silke Thomas**, who co-direct the gallery, have not commented on the accusations. To complicate matters, Raimund’s **whereabouts are currently unknown**, fueling further speculation about the gallery's financial and operational state.
